Day 4 Thursday + Lunch at The Factory

"1. Dining room on the 3rd floor of The Factory Museum, where we had a great lunch, soup and sandwiches, and more great desserts, including Naniamo Squares, butter tarts, and stuff I don't know.

Day 4 Thursday - 4-6 Keels

"1. Carson's car in front of us, waiting to start. It was delayed due to the need to let an ambulance use the road for a local emergency (not Targa). That delay ended up causing the cancelation of 3 other stages later in the day.
2-3. Waiting for start of Stage 4-6 Keels‎. The wind has picked up from the North West, gusts to 80 predicted, and temperature down to 10 C now. Not much socializing going on...

Day 4 Thursday - 4-3 Open Hall 2

"1. Waiting to start 4-3‎ Open Hall
2. This is Carson Scheller checking the brake fluid in his Audi A6. He and his daughter Lauren, the navigator, are from California. He is a cattle farmer. They keep the Audi at Robson Racing in Ottawa, and have it shipped to St John's for the Targa every year. They were in front of us for most of the starts - they werte 4th, we were 5th Wed and Thu.

Day 4 Thursday - 4-2 Tickle Cove 1

4. It stopped raining - we can socialize! This 1960 MG has about ‎64K Km on the odometer. The owner has about 4 other cars, including a Mazda RX 8 as his daily driver. 
5. More shots of cars waiting. It's raining again. 6. A Mini - one of the last cars coming in from the previous stage."

"2 pics of the starting area for Stage 4-1 called Open Hall 1. Dark gloomy day with light rain - Condition 1. Weather conditions are posted at the Start Line. Condition 1‎ - dry roadsCondition 2 - wet roadsCondition 3 - standing water on roadsWe have to adjust our times and speeds according to a book that is provided separately before the Targa started."

Targa Day 3 - Wednesday-4

From Fred: 
"We had lunch at the Trinity Parish Hall. Delicious! Roast beef, ham, mashed potatoes and turnips, buns and fabulous desserts. I had carrot cake, blueberry cheesecake AND lemon meringue pie! 
1. Washroom on 2nd Floor, Trinity Parish Hall‎, where we ate lunch. The line up on the first floor was nuts, so I went hunting for another washroom.  
2. ‎View out the window from the 2nd floor.
3. Better view of the Targa cars.
4. Picture of the auditorium on the 2nd floor, which is the only thing on that floor besides the kitchen/washroom.
5. Picture of the stage from the auditorium.
After lunch we got in line for Stage 3-7 Trinity‎."




Targa Day 3 - Wednesday-3
